Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S. This year, New Life Church is partnering with Operation Christmas Child.
Because of the amazing generosity of New Life peeps, we were able to distribute all 100 boxes the first week in the Lobby. We will not be getting more boxes, but we encourage you to grab an old shoe box, and pack your items in that. For more information on how to pack your own box, click here.
Then, on Wednesday, November 6 at 7:00 pm, everyone who has packed a box is invited to bring their filled box back to the church. (Even if you can’t attend the event on that night, we must have your packed box by November 6.) We will gather in the Kids Auditorium where we will write letters to the kids that will receive our boxes, pray over the boxes, and have a fun time with snacks and sharing stories. Please join us for this great opportunity to share the love of Jesus around the world.
